Knights of Columbus
Latin Mass Council 17027
of Saint Stanislaus Parish

Welcome!

We are a brotherhood of traditionally-minded, Catholic men who have recognized our calling to fulfill Christ’s mission by serving God, our parish, our families, and our community.

As Knights, we are bound together through our unity in Christ, our love for the Tridentine Mass, and our readiness to serve.

Serving as a Knight

There are many ways to serve as a Knight. Much of this comes in the form of helping organize and run events that serve our parish. The Supreme Council has laid out four key areas of programming that we strive to serve in:

  • Faith - designed to draw us closer to God and the Church in a tangible and meaningful way

  • Family - opportunities for our families to come together and intentionally live the domestic church

  • Community - addressing the needs of those around us and putting the virtue of charity into action

  • Life - defending the dignity of life by building a culture of life and a civilization of love

Council Meetings

Our council has regularly scheduled business meetings the first Sunday of the month from 1-2pm (right after the 11:15am mass) in the small classroom of the rectory basement*. Please refer to the Calendar to follow any changes made to this schedule in the event of Holy Days, other events, or construction.

These business meetings adhere to Robert’s Rules of Order. Each meeting begins with opening prayers, followed by reports from the Grand Knight and other officers, then continuation of any old business items, introducing new business, and ending with closing prayers.

It is important that all members and initiated Knights make the effort to attend each business meeting in order for our efforts to serve be fulfilled. Attendance will be reported in all meeting minutes.

*Note: KofC councils have a closed-door policy for non-members. Anyone interested in attending a council meeting must attain explicit approval from the Grand Knight and permitted by a vote of the council in advance. Email the Grand Knight at grandknight@stanislausknights.org.

Our council’s custom

How do I get to know other Knights outside of monthly business meetings and events? Every Sunday after mass is the perfect opportunity for Knights to gather. It has become our council’s voluntary custom that Knights shall informally congregate in the basement after each Sunday mass to share in a fraternal moment. This is a great time for each other’s families to meet as well.

Communications

Our council relies on our parish’s Flocknote for centralized communications. These communications are private to our council and parish adminstration. Once you have officially become a Knight, you can request to join our page.

Email inquiries may be sent to communications@stanislausknights.org.

Please refer to the parish website for any other communication information.
